My name is Graham Sale, and I’m the creator of Boneless Chuck

Chuck is my proudest creation. Over the past few years, I’ve received many inquiries from Chuck’s friends, like you, asking where he is and how to get him. Answering everyone individually has been difficult, so I created this website to help. Here, you’ll find answers to your questions, along with Chuck’s remarkable story, and a collection of letters and photos he’s received over the years. You might even spot one of yours.

How does a pink, pudgy, bean-bag doll become loved around the world for over 40 years?

Comfort cancer patients? Help the police? Travel to over 40 countries, 7 continents, and all 50 states? Attend the Olympics? Dance with Cirque Du Soleil? Visit Elvis’s grave? Ride in the Sturgis Bike Rally? And, raise money to fight cancer?

The answer is as simple, as it is profound. People discovered sweetness, acceptance, comfort, friendship, and laughter in Chuck. People didn’t just meet Chuck—they loved him into existence. That love and enjoyment, shared across generations, is what keeps him alive today.

Where is Chuck today?

Chuck is manufactured in China. Recent tariff policies make it financially impossible to produce him. A minimum order that once cost $8,000–$10,000 now costs about $28,000. I’m a one-man show, and that simply isn’t feasible. No one knows when—or if—these conditions will change. I prefer to manufacture Chuck domestically, but it hasn’t been economically viable. That said, I’m continuing to explore realistic options to produce him here. If you have manufacturing contacts, let me know!
